UX by Jay

UX + Web + Photo/Video + Ads/SEO

The Portland Aikikai Dojo

Using UX principles, I designed the online marketing strategy to attract new members to this non-profit organization. My work involved enacting user research, creating original content (written + photo + videography), prototyping landing pages and social media ads, and crafting finished versions of all products for the Dojo’s continued use.

UX/UI Design, Communications Mgmt., & Photography

Outdoor Asian Non-Profit

Using UX design principles to craft an updated style guide, story-telling platform, online presence (social media), and communications for an outdoor non-profit.
I still continue to manage the communications for this ever growing non-profit, serving the API community.

UX/Website Design & Photography

The Lighthouse Bed & Breakfast

Using UX design principles to craft a new website for a small business bed and breakfast in rural Japan.
In a classic project of creating a new website complete with visuals, I decided to put my design skills to the test with a bilingual English-Japanese website. I honored the wishes of my clients by designing the website simply yet elegantly.
